LNBC hosting of Chesaa 2010 still awaited

THE hosting for the ninth staging of the Cordillera Higher Education Sports and Athletic Association (Chesaa) remains a big question.

Luzon National Bible College representatives have yet to consider the hosting of Chesaa this year after the executive meeting Friday night attended by representatives from other members of the league.

"So far LNBC remains reluctant and their decision will be known by Wednesday," said National Institute for Information Technology administrator Vladimir Cayabas who presided the meeting.

By way of rotation, Cayabas said Baguio School of Business and Trade and AMA Computer College are the next hosts after LNBC but both waived their right to host this year's Chesaa.

"BSBT has decided to host the league on 2011 while AMA has signified to host the competition on 2012," added Cayabas.

However, if LNBC has decided to waive its hosting, Cordillera Career Development College will take the hosting cudgels for this year's tournament with the two schools waiving their right for this year. CCDC will have its turn hosting the event come 2013.

Participating schools in the Chesaa meet are Data Center College Baguio, Easter College, STI Baguio, AMA Computer College, and National University Baguio.

Also expected to see action for this year's season are National Institute of Information and Technology Baguio, Philippine Women's University, and Luzon National Bible College and Cordillera Career Development College.

Cayabas said another meeting will be staged on July 14 to finalize the hosting and schedule of opening. The meeting will also tackle the games to be played during the first and second semesters.
