THE Department of Health (DOH) in Negros Oriental voluntarily distributed anti-flu vaccines to pregnant women.
Dr. Socrates Villamor, chief of the provincial epidemiology surveillance unit of DOH, said that the vaccine is to prevent the dreaded A(H1N1) flu.
But there were some pregnant women who declined to receive the vaccine, said Villamor.
The distribution was done through the Rural Health Unit (RHU) in all municipalities and cities.
Villamor, however, clarified that the province now has no A(H1N1) case noted.
"There was one confirmed before but already treated," he said. (Victor L. Camion)
