A SEXAGENARIAN died after eating four pieces of Santol in Sitio Camanga, Barangay Tiglawigan, Cadiz City.
The victim was identified as William Prudente, 73 years old.
Ramil Prudente, the victim's son, said his father ate four pieces of Santol last Saturday, and complained of stomachache after he consumed the fruit, including its big seeds.
Ramil said they were used to eating santol with its big seeds.
The victim was immediately brought to Cadiz City Hospital, but died of cardiac arrest.
