CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The provincial chief executive has urged the local media to help achieve sustainable development in the province through balance, fair, and timely information for the Kapampangans.
Governor Lilia Pineda declared that she cannot achieve her dream for the province without the support and cooperation of other sectors.
Pineda said that local media could play a vital role in her administration for as long as it diligently performs its purpose as a watchdog and provide transparency and objectivity in reporting.
"Nakikiusap ako sa mga kaibigan natin sa media na sana tulungan ninyo akong mapagsilbihan ng mabuti ang mga kababayan nating nangangailangan ng tulong," Pineda said.
Pineda recognized the "power of media" and its responsibility in informing the people about the news.
Members of local media here vowed to support Pineda in all her programs and projects for the Kapampangan without sacrificing professionalism. (Herbert P. Mapiles)
