The company also bagged a Bronze award for the Best Environmental Excellence Award for its Globe Goes Green program, an environmental sustainability campaign that aims to create a heightened environmental awareness through various internal and external activities.

Globe runs its multi-awarded CSR initiatives through Globe Bridging Communities or Globe BridgeCom.

Globe Corporate Social Responsibility Head Jeffrey Tarayao spoke during the Global CSR Summit, which was held in conjunction with the Global CSR Awards. Tarayao discussed the fundamental aspects of using the Globe ecosystem to help address various social problems in the country. An example given was Globe BridgeCom's innovative strategic community programs that can be used as effective business solutions to social problems such as its Enterprise Development Program.

Tarayao said Globe has successfully linked social initiatives integrally with the core strategy and operations of business. "Thus our corporate social responsibility programs have moved from being 'cause oriented' to 'strategy oriented'. Through this, we were able to develop business solutions that help solve social problems," he said.
