THE Sun.Star Davao 15th Anniversary Bowling Tournament rolls off August 6 at the Mega Dover Lanes.
Vic Purgatorio, Sun.Star Davao Publishing HR supervisor, said the tournament aims to forge camaraderie among employees and serves as a highlight of the company's anniversary celebration.
"This is really for fun and friendship. We just want everyone to enjoy the games and have fun being together. We will hold it in five weeks. But only two games will be played in every meeting. The opening will be a Friday but the next games will be held every Saturday until Sept. 4," Purgatorio said.
Tournament head Charles Raymond A. Maxey, sports editor, said the employees have been grouped into four teams. Two teams will composed of male players while the remaining two will be the women's teams.
"The men's and women's division team champions will be determined with the highest total pinfalls after a four-game series. Top players in each team, however, will contest the masters title," Maxey said. (MLSA)
