MORE than a thousand runners are expected to strut their wares this Sunday in the 2nd Cebu Doctors’ University (CDU) Dental Alumni Run at the CDU campus at the North Reclamation Area, Mandaue City.
“We are limiting the number of runners to 1,200 in this run because we want the race to be manageable,” said Dr. Yong Larrazabal.
He said there are already 800 runners who have registered.
Last year’s race was able to draw 700 runners.
The race featured a 10K, 5K and 3K open for both men and women division. They will also have a 3k run exclusive for CDU Dentistry alumni.
“This year, we have more raffle prizes and special awards,” Larrazabal said.
They will be giving special awards to the oldest runner, youngest runner, Fun Smile of the Day and best in costume.
The cut-off was yesterday, but registrants can still be accommodated with a registration of P300. However, students can register at P200 in all categories even beyond cut-off date as long they can show a valid school ID.
Registration areas will be at the Center for Sight at the Cebu Doctors University Hospital, SAPPRO’s office at the CDU and Nike Athletics at the Banilad Town Center.
