Halili backs Luciano's retention as CIAC prexy

MABALACAT -- Board Member Tarcicio Halili has expressed support to the retention in office of Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) president Victor Jose Luciano.

According to Halili, CIAC cannot afford to lose an official which has a vision not only for the airport but for the whole region.

"I know the credentials of Mr. Luciano. I have been with him for more than two decades now," Halili said.

Halili disclosed that they were both members of Philippine Jaycees. Luciano was the world president of the Jaycees in 1994 when Halili was the chair of the club's prestigious Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) award.

During Luciano's term as president of the Philippine Jaycees, Halili was the national executive vice president.

Halili said that Luciano has wide experience in aviation saying the latter was the president of Asiana Airlines before.

The programs for the full development of the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) as the country's premier gateway implemented by Luciano need continuity, according to Halili.

With this, Halili said Luciano needs to be retained as CIAC head.

Scores of local officials and locators inside the Clark Freeport have expressed support to the reappointment of Luciano in the corporation. (Reynaldo G. Navales)
