ACTOR Cesar Montano is back in the Kapuso Channel, following his signing of a one-year exclusive contract with GMA Network Thursday afternoon.

The actor was welcomed by top GMA honchos lead by Felipe Gozon, Jimmy Duavit, and Wilma Galvante.

“I'm very happy kasi I'm back again here in GMA 7. I'm proud that they accepted me to be a Kapuso,” Buboy said.

Cesar was pressed to answer questions with his unexpected transfer. Recently, he took the hosting job on the noontime show “Wowowee” in ABS-CBN.

The actor said he did not have any formal offer from the rival network and he needed to do something after his lost in the gubernatorial race in Bohol.

“The election was finished in May and now it’s July already and I need a job not only for me but for my family,” he noted.

Though he signed a contract with GMA 7, the actor never burned bridges from ABS-CBN, saying he informed the network of his decision.

Right now, the actor is setting his focus in his upcoming shows with the Kapuso channel.

Among the Kapuso talents he would be working with in his first project are Rhian Ramos and Aljur Abrenica.

“I'm thankful that they believed in me and I will return it with pure dedication in my works,” he said. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
