ANGELES CITY -- In a quiet corner of Barangay Amsic lies a "gem" of this city, a Balinesean-inspired estate that is truly lifestyle at its finest.
"Pulu Amsic," or isle of Amsic, is your escape to an oasis amid amenities in contemporary Balinese style. It is an exclusive residential estate right in the heart of this bustling city, the haven for homemakers with the most discriminating taste.
Updates on President Benigno Aquino III's presidency
A place you could truly call "home," Pulu Amsic is located in one of the city's highest elevation, which means no floods. It is outside of aircraft's route bound for the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport, so expect none of the buzzing noise pollution, aside from being away from traffic, although the estate is highly accessible.
Pulu Amsic is a short distance from malls, Clark Freeport, schools, hospitals, government centers and within reach of the North Luzon Expressway and the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expresway.
Inside, the "city gem" has wide concrete roads, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, underground drainage system, perimeter fence, gated clusters, and landscaped entrances. Of course, one will not miss its central feature: the one hectare lush park and recreation area with that huge Balinese-inspired clubhouse.
During its launch yesterday (Sunday), St. Catherine Realty Corporation vice president for Marketing and Human Resource Lea Dizon told Sun.Star Pampanga Pulu Amsic is the first of its kind in Pampanga.
"We thought, 'Why not create something that is different?' So we traveled to Bali and there, we got the inspiration for Pulu Amsic. Even this clubhouse took us a year to finish. Everything is custom made, from the hand-painted mural on the ceiling, the cascading pool and the chandeliers. The design is earthy for that true Balinese feeling," she said, adding it was the 15th of the developer's projects, which include Ciudad De Hizon, Dizon Estate, Golden Estate, Hacienda Royale, Plantation Royale, Punta Verde, Countryside Residential Estate, Villa Del Sol and Pelican Preserve Leisure Estates.
Dizon narrated that the 24-hectare property owned by their partner 50-year-old real estate magnate Narciso Bros., Inc., is divided into three phases covering eight hectares each, where one could choose from the Rama, Sita and the upscale Pulu model houses.
Narciso Bros., Inc.'s Madame Ely Narciso was just ecstatic in describing Pulu Amsic as a haven of choice: "Here it is peaceful, secured and refreshing. As you can see, you become part of nature itself with our free air-garden concept. It's really Asian, really Balinese."
For first Pulu Amsic house and lot owners Mildred and Marice Johnson, living at the estate is like no other. "We were supposed to buy a car but when we drove into the estate during its open house, we immediately fell in love with the place. It is quiet, cool and safe," the Johnsons quipped.
And for Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, Pulu Amsic is the beginning of her personal dream for Angeles City's growth.
"With Pulu Amsic, we are moving ahead of our dream of excellence. With this estate, our vision to enrich our culture, arts and education, including investments and tourism, is fast becoming true," Vega-Cabigting said. (Jovi T. De Leon)
