THE Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-Northern Mindanao office will launch its "Technology-Business Café" at 9 a.m. on July 22 at VIP Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.
Invited to the launching program are prospective technology adopters, representatives from media organizations, the academe and selected government line agencies.
The launching would feature the technology business opportunities on Giant Freshwater Shrimp with Prof. Henry Dejarme, MSU-Naawan's Research and Extension
Director, giving his knowledge and expertise on the technology.
The Technology-Business Café is a venue to disseminate science and technology information and to promote investments into technologies for commercialization.
It also aims to enhance economic development through the application of science and technology in business enterprises by way of an informal, comfortable atmosphere where people join in the conversation.
The Technology-Business Café is not a scientific meeting or a long lecture with a passive audience listening to an 'expert'. Rather, it is runs on the principles of free speech and respect for the individual and that everyone feels able to ask questions about the topic.
The launching of the Technology-Business Café is part of the lined-up activities of the National Science and Technology Week focusing on the theme "FilipInnovation: The Way Forward." (PR)
