Man arrested for gun toting

ANGELES CITY -- A 22-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after being suspected of illegal possession of firearms inside a karaoke bar situated at the Nepo Mart 2 here.

Senior Superintendent Danilo Bautista, city police chief, identified the suspect as Abdul Rahim, 22, single, of Burgos Street, Barangay Lourdes Sur East, this city.

Bautista said elements of the Police Station headed by Chief Inspector Rico Cayabyab arrested Rahim inside the Pivu Videoke where the suspect allegedly brought and displayed his Armscor .38 caliber revolver.

According to Bautista, Cayabyab’s men were patrolling Tuesday night near the vicinity of the commercial area when a security guard informed them that a drunk man was carrying a gun inside the said bar.

The police immediately responded and arrested Rahim.

Bautista said the suspect is now detained at the Police Station 2. (Reynaldo G. Navales)
