LG Electronics eye bigger mobile phone market
LG ELECTRONICS Philippines, which started to offer sleek and quality smart phones three years ago, has finally made its presence felt in this part of the country, with the opening of its first-ever concept store in Davao City on Wednesday.
The LG Mobile Concept Store, located at the third level of SM City Davao, is also the first in Mindanao and offers the company's all mobile phone products and services.
In a press briefing before the formal opening of the mobile phone store, Richard Javier, LG Electronics' mobile communications head, said they are optimistic of the market in the city where the company sales have continued to grow.
Although he did not give figures, Javier said their sales income in Mindanao, particularly Davao City, have an average growth of 50 percent a month.
"Davao is a big market for mobile phones. All over Mindanao, Davao holds 60 percent of the market. That's why we are strengthening our foothold here," he told reporters.
He said the company will continue to pour in investments in the city "so that consumers can get a feel of the company's innovations that really improve quality of life."
As a proof, Javier said the company is set to open another concept store at Gaisano Mall of Davao in Bajada before the year ends.
"Mobile phone distributors and dealers are very much interested to promote our products. It is easy to sell because of style and quality," he said.

With the opening of its concept store in the city, Davao residents are given an option to choose another brand that fits their taste of a mobile phone.
"At our concept store, they can spend more time evaluating our products and making a purchase, to ensure that they are happy and fully satisfied whith their mobile phone," Javier said.
He said the store is managed by highly-trained staff, who can explain to customers the features of of our products. "It also serves as support to our dealers who sell our products locally."
