CEBU’s running queen Mary Grace delos Santos is gearing up to conquer the 21K run of the 34th Milo Marathon elimination this Sunday in General Santos City.
“I am all set for this Sunday and hope that I will be able earn a slot in the national finals,” said delos Santos, who is out to seek vengeance for her second place finish in last year’s 42K national finals.
She added she is confident going against Mindanao’s best runners.
“As long as condition lang akong lawas,” she said. Delos Santos has been undergoing intensive training under her coach Sherwin Managil.
Managil said they opted to join the Gen. Santos leg to give his ward the chance to recuperate and give her enough time to prepare for the national finals.
He added his only worry tomorrow is Gen. Santos’s weather, which he describe as very hot compared to Cebu.
On the other hand, the Cebu leg registration is already open and accepting participants in the 21K and 10K. The Cebu leg will be using timing chips and will be held on Sept. 5.
