MABALACAT – A group of employees from Mabalacat District Hospital (MDH) have reacted to alleged mismanagement of Dr. Benjamin Arboleda, chief of Diosdado P. Macapagal Memorial Hospital (DPMMH).

In an email sent by the MDH employees, who requested not to be named, to Sun.Star Pampanga, they were urging the Provincial Government of Pampanga to look seriously into the complaints against Arboleda and conduct a deeper investigation on the matter.

The employees at MDH said that they also experienced problems with Arboleda.

Sun.Star Pampanga learned that the MDH is also under the direct supervision of Arboleda.

“Mas rude ang pamamalakad ni Arboleda sa MDH, mayroong pagsabihan na empleyado sa harapan ng mga pasyente at madalas pa daw sabihin na hangga’t narito kayo sa hospital pag-aari ko kayo,” the email said.

The email claimed Arboleda practiced superiority over other employees in the hospital: “Ang pinaparamdam pa sa kanyang mga subordinates kung sya ang nagkamali exempted sya, at ang sagot niya mag-boss muna kayo.”

The disgruntled employees are also suggesting to the Provincial Government to invite the contractors who built DPMMH to clarify the extent of Arboleda’s participation in the construction. The letter said the MDH employees could be of help to determine whom to blame with the problems at DPMMH.

The email likewise alleged that Arboleda is using a government vehicle, an Isuzu Crosswind, but its plate number is unlike those issued to government cars.

“Mas malakas pang kumain ng diesel ang Crosswind na ginagamit niya kaysa sa ambulansiya kasi ginagamit sa pamilya niya at paggo-golf yung Crosswind," the email said.

Arboleda has since denied the allegations, including his claim that he was “hands-off” in the construction of the hospital.
