Hold-up gang strikes again

THREE armed men held up three persons and took their personal belongings at about 11 p.m. Saturday in Bacolod City.

The victims, two of whom hailed from Kabankalan while the other was from La Castellana, said that they were walking along Lopez Jaeña Street going to Circumferential road when the suspects approached them.

The suspects threatened them with guns and took a hand bag containing three cellular phones, ATM cards and two wallets with P1,200 in cash.

In a separate incident, police blotter entries reveal that thieves entered the residence of Jon Nathaniel del Castillo, 18, of Malaspina St., Barangay Villamonte early Monday morning and took from his room a laptop computer valued at P50,000 and a wallet with P2,000 in cash, several undisclosed dollar bills and identification cards.

Meanwhile, Bernardo Mariano, 22, of Tibiao, Antique was arrested at about 8 a.m. yesterday in Purok 2, Barangay Granada for allegedly stealing a fighting cock owned by Eduardo Danao, 72, of Purok 4, Barangay Alangilan.

The police reportedly recovered Danao's fighting cock from Mariano, who is now detained at Police Station 5.
