AFTER the much-publicized break-up of the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino to cager husband James Yap, the TV host's name is now being linked to independent film actor Coco Martin.
The two recently worked in "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo" where Kris played the role of Coco's step mother.
During the shooting of "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo", news circulated that there was a time when Kris and Coco had a misunderstanding because of the TV host's frankness in the set.
But everything was ironed out when Coco was interviewed over by Kris in "The Buzz" last May 16.
Coco was still promoting "Noy The Movie" that time and was still shooting the last few episodes of "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo".
In that interview, Kris said she really respects Coco's drive in his craft and his stellar performance in the series and movie.
Kris jokingly said she really felt the pressure when she is sharing the scene with Coco because he's really good with his acting job.
Kim Chiu, who is part of the same telerserye, also surprised Coco with a video question asking him if he really got mad with her and Kris on the set.
“Hindi naman nagalit, nagulat ako kasi unang una nagstart pa lang yung show, syempre kapaan at sobrang takot na takot ako sa inyo, hindi ko alam kung saan ako magtatago,” he explained.
Coco added: "Pero nung dumating na yung time na nagkakilala na tayong lahat sa set at nag tutulungan na sa trabaho eh okay naman."
Kris cleared the air between them and even added that her son Baby James is really fond of Coco's company.
She also thanked Coco's help during the campaign of her brother President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III and for doing “Noy The Movie”.
“Nakita ko talaga na humble, hard working and nakaapak ka talaga sa lupa and talagang napabilib ako sa kanya,” Kris said of the actor.
The talkshow host added that during the course of their teleserye she really saw the dedication and the true color of Coco.
“I felt na you are sincere and gusto kong malaman mo na for the rest of my life eh magiging sincere na ako sayo.”
Coco's answers
On the Kapamilya channel's official website www.abs-cbn.com, Coco denied all the rumors and reiterated that the recent news are so untrue.
According to the website, Coco was able to talk to Kris and they were just making fun of the news.
This is also not the first time that they were linked to each other but the host and actor refused to be affected by the issue.
Coco believes that the issue is just being blown out of proportion by the people and fueled by their detractors because he supported the Aquino family during the election.
The actor stressed that there was never a time when Kris opened up with him matters about her marriage to Yap because it seems odd to discuss things like that.
Coco meantime believes that things would be well again between Kris and James especially they have two kids.
Kris is still in the United States for her much-needed vacation and family bonding with sons Joshua and Baby James.
James, on the other hand, was left here to continue his basketball commitments. He is still very much hopeful to work all their differences and to get back again. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
