Lawmaker sees coalition with the ruling party

MACABEBE – Representative Anna York Bondoc-Sagum envisioned a constructive and corroborative coalition with the Liberal Party headed by President Benigno Aquino III in order to serve the best interest of her constituents.

Bondoc-Sagum expressed all out support with the Aquino administration particularly in his desire to eradicate corruption in the government and uplift the standard of living of every Filipinos.

“Hindi tayo uunlad kung hindi tayo magtutulungan. Kailangan ni President Noynoy ang ating suporta at lalung kailangan natin ang kaniyang tulong upang matugunan natin ang pangangailangan ng ating kababayan sa distrito,” said Bondoc-Sagum.

It can be recalled that the Bondocs publicly endorsed and supported the presidential bid of Senator Manny Villar last elections. However, she said, they have just valued the essence of “word of honor.”

She added that their family committed to support Villar five years ago. “Hindi naman pwede basta iwanan siya dahil lumabas si Noynoy. Ang ugali kasi namin ay pangahalagahan ang aming binitawang pangako,” she said.

Asked about her reactions on the statement made by President Aquino in his State of the Nation Address about the alleged misdeeds and misuse of funds of the previous administration, she said, “I don’t think it can be traced to a single person only. I would appreciate if details of the allegations were also presented.”

“I guess the challenge is not just say it but to do it. President Noynoy needs to walk his talk. Madali lang magsalita sana patunayan niya,” she added.

Bondoc-Sagum said she believed that the allegations of irregularities in the government can also be attributed to the existing system. “Hindi naman kahapon lang nangyari iyan,” she said.
