ANGELES CITY -- Two persons were charged with carnapping before the Office of the City Prosecutor after allegedly being caught of stealing a car parked in front of an establishment on busy Plaridel Street in Barangay San Nicolas here recently.

Police identified the suspects as Christian Reyes Bocarele, 28, of Barangay Cutcut, this city; and John Amiel Yalung Yumul, 19, of Arellano Street, Barangay Lourdes Northwest, also in this city.

Senior Superintendent Danilo Bautista, city police director, said that Bocarele and Yumul, were caught in the act of stealing the vehicle by the car owner himself.

“The suspects were able to open the door of the car,” Bautista said.

The car owner then sought police assistance which resulted to the arrest of the two suspects.
