GT launches soap line in Oro

AFTER the successful launching of its soap line’s new look in the Visayas region recently, GT Cosmetics Manufacturing visits the first key destination in Mindanao, Cagayan de Oro City, Thursday.

The City of Golden Friendship is the fifth stop in GT Cosmetics’ nationwide launching tour, which started in Cebu on May 21 this year.

GT, keeping its promise to make its products available to all its customers all over the country, is re-launching its Carrot, Papaya, and Bleaching soap variants with an improved packaging and formulation.

Engr. Leonora B. Salvane, GT owner and national sales manager, said they are happy with the launching in Cebu, Bohol, Bacolod and Iloilo and is optimistic that the market segment they want to tap will accept their products not just because of their fresh new look but because their ingredients are purely natural.

“The new packaging for our soap line is targeted to capture the young and high-end market. We also improved the formulation and enriched them with more herbal extracts. Of course, those who have already tried and trusted our soap products will continue to buy because the prices remain the same,” Salvane said.

Since it was founded in 1994, GT Cosmetics has been producing good quality soap products that have continuously earned the trust of many people and made it one of the sought-after brands in retail outlets today.

“Our customers trust our products because we only use natural ingredients, unlike other brands which have side effects because of their chemical components,” Salvane said.

GT is likewise being aggressive in introducing its products in Mindanao as Salvane foresees a robust growth in production this year following their successful entry in Luzon early last month.

rAt present, GT produces about 2,000 pieces of every product variant but is set to align its workforce in anticipation of bigger bulk orders.

“We finally made it. We have penetrated the Luzon market. That is why we need to expand our manpower,” said Salvane, who has been very keen on bringing her products up north since last year. “We will be adding more production people as well as hiring more sales personnel or promodisers.”

According to Salvane, Watsons paved the way for them when it opened nine outlets in the different parts of Luzon.

“As Watsons opened their new outlets, so was GT introduced in Luzon,” Salvane said.

Watsons recently opened two outlets in Metro Manila at SM Manila and Ali Mall and three branches in Batangas, two in Pampanga and another two in Laguna.

“Actually, Robinsons was also instrumental in our Luzon mission as it now displays and sells GT Cosmetics products in its malls,” Salvane added.

GT Cosmetics’ skin-care products are now available at Robinsons department stores and supermarkets in Manila, Ermita, Tutuban, Novaliches, Cebu, Dumaguete, Bacolod, Iloilo and Tacloban, to name a few.

“We are currently setting up to have our products available in all of 50 Robinsons outlets,” Salvane further said.

GT Cosmetics, which goes to Davao next month, will be launching other cosmetic product lines soon.

GT products are also available at SM City, Save More Supermarkets, Metro Gaisano, Metro Plaza-Toledo, Super Metro-Mandaue, Gaisano South, Gaisano Fiesta Mall, Gaisano Mactan, Gaisano Grand Mall-Mactan, Gaisano Danao, Colonnade, La Nueva Supermarkets and Prince Warehouse Clubs in Cebu; Island City Mall, Marcela Plaza, BQ, Altura’s and Shoppers Plaza in Bohol; and other authorized retail outlets in Iloilo, Bacolod, Ozamis, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Dumaguete, Bais,Pagadian and Dipolog.
