MANILA -- Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (second district, Pampanga) will be attending the fourth session of the lower chamber of Congress on Monday.

The former President missed the first State of the Nation Address (Sona) of President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III and the election of Speaker during the House of Representatives' first session after accompanying his husband, Juan Miguel Arroyo, to Hong Kong for a medical treatment.

Arroyo's spokesperson and former Presidential Management Staff head Elena Bautista-Horn confirmed to Sun.Star that the former President is ready to work on Monday but will likely go back to Hong Kong soon.

“Yes (they will return) but there is no schedule yet. There are tests that need to be done here first," Horn told Sun.Star.
