Nerbac now issues eTIN

THE National Economic Research and Business Assistance Center (Nerbac) in Northern Mindanao now issues electronic Taxpayer Identification Number (eTIN) to all start-up and existing entrepreneurs who do not have TIN yet.

Issuance of TIN shall be free of charge and can be availed by visiting the Center at Corrales Ave. cor. A. Luna Sts., Cagayan de Oro City.

Nerbac Northern Mindanao is the first Government Agencies and Instrumentalities

(GAIs) given the authority by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) to issue TIN.

The eRegistration or formerly eTIN system is an online facility for TIN issuance as part of government effort to streamline business processing.

Nerbac was created through Republic Act 7470 to fast track investment inflows and strengthen the country’s business and investment climate.

A myriad of government services is offered for the start-up and expanding business that include streamlined business registration and licensing, knowledge management, proactive investment marketing, export documentation and financing facilitation.

The Center houses representatives from mandatory agencies like the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Social Security System, Philippine Health Insurance Corp. Pag-Ibig Fund and Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

An Entrepreneurship and Business Registration Orientation is presented every first Thursday of the month to guide start-up entrepreneurs on the step by step procedure, requirements and forms needed in registering a business.

Moreover, a compendium of business registration guides is also available at the

Nerbac library.

The Center is open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays with no noon break. (PR)
