Four teens nabbed for illegal drugs

FOUR teenagers, one of them a minor, were nabbed for possession and use of prohibited drugs Thursday afternoon at SM Mall South Wing, Reclamation Area, Barangay 12, Bacolod City.

The suspects were identified as Ivan Dinglasa, 18, of Lot 1, Block 16, Airport Subdivision, Barangay Singcang; Anjo Algara, 18, of Burgos Street Extension, Villa Angela, Barangay Villamonte; Nilo Cuenca, 18, of Block 5, Lot 11, Phase 2, Regent Pearl Homes, Barangay Alijis; and the 17-year-old minor who is a resident of Regent Pearl, Barangay Alijis.

The suspects were nabbed by elements of Police Station 1led by PO3 Dave Dollosa.

Recovered from their possessions was a plastic teabag containing suspected marijuana and a partially burned suspected marijuana cigarette.

The three suspects are now detained at the Police Station 1 lock up cell, while the minor was turned over to the Social Development Center.

In another incident, an alleged notorious robbery suspect was arrested by Police Station 4 operatives and Bacolod City Police Office Intelligence and Investigation branch around 4:30 pm. Thursday.

The 17-year-old suspect from Purok Tisa, Barangay 20 is now in the custody of Bacolod City Social Development Center, deputy station chief Inspector Charles Gever said.

Gever said the minor was arrested by his team and the group of Inspector Niel Exaltado by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 51 Judge Anita Chua, who fixed the bail at P100,000.

Gever also hopes that with the arrest of the suspect, snatching and robbery incidents in their area of responsibility will lessen.

Aside from robbery, the suspect was also identified by some victims as the perpetrator of snatching incidents in the area. (MAP)
