TWO persons were injured in vehicular accident at Barangay Pandanon, Don Salvador Benedicto Saturday morning.
The victims were identified as James Celes, 26, driver-salesman, and a resident of Barangay 3, Pontevedra, and his 36 year old companion identified as Elmer Grado, a resident of Barangay Alijis in Bacolod City.
Police Senior Inspector Ariel Pico, DSB police chief, said that the victims were traversing the national highway when their Fuzo Canter vehicle had a mechanical trouble that resulted to an accident at Km 36.
He said the victims were rescued and brought to Riverside Hospital for treatment by concerned citizens and responding DSB policemen.
Noppo Director Police Senior Superintendent Manuel Felix in the meantime directed all police chiefs in the province to prioritize road safety measures to ensure the security of motorists traveling along the province’s roads and highways.
