KORONADAL CITY -- Security at Maguindanao Provincial Hospital is now tight, as police personnel are guarding a massacre suspect who is now recuperating at the medical facility.
The police, in a radio report, were on heightened alert status against possible attack by the comrades of Civilian Volunteers' Organization (CVO) member Edres Kasan.
Kasan was wounded last week after five armed men shot him. He was tagged as one of the suspects in the killing of 57 people in Maguindanao province in November 23, 2009.
Police said the suspect is now in good condition and is set to be turned over to Quezon City Regional Trial Court once he recovered.
Kasan is now under the custody of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. (Sunnex)
