Dulnuan: Baguio cabbies receive award

WE ARE a pro-people, pro-consumer Non-Government Organization. PATAS (People Against Trade-Abuse & Scams) is proud to give its very FIRST PLAQUE OF APPRECIATION to the Cab Drivers of Baguio City, through its Honorable Mayor Mauricio S. Domogan, for pursuing a culture of honesty and fairness in the engagement of their daily trade-- Baguio cab drivers are known to be honest and fair, giving the exact change for fare to their passengers. It is hoped that such demonstration of honesty and fairness be emulated and will serve as standard in the exercise of others in the trade.

This award will be given on the 2nd day of August 2010 and received by Hon. Mauricio S. Domogan, Mayor, Baguio City, Philippines. It will be given during their Flag Ceremony in the morning this Monday. This is a humble request from us that your prestigious paper deems it newsworthy and carries it in one of your reports or features.

This unfair trade practice which has been common and almost culturally ingrained in the abusive driver and the hapless passenger should be stopped and stopped now. I am pretty some of you based in Baguio have experienced it in Metro Manila. We appreciate if you covered this story.
