Central Luzon police have new director

CAMP OLIVAS -- Police Chief Superintendent Alan LM Purisima is the new director of the Police Regional Office in Central Luzon.

The command post was turned over Wednesday by outgoing Police Chief Superintendent Arturo Cacdac Jr. with Philippine National Police Deputy Chief for Operations Perfecto Palad.

During the turnover ceremony, Cacdac thanked officers and police for their support.

"Nais ko pong pasalamatan si General Versoza sa pagtitiwalang ibinigay niya. Dati gusto ko talagang maging regional director at natupad din sa wakas. Nais ko rin sabihin na ang hahalili sa akin (Purisima) ay malapit talaga sa puso ko. Nais ko pong sabihin na good luck sa kanya at suportahan po natin siya," he stated.

Cacdac also disclosed his accomplishments during his four-month term. He also stressed peace and order during the May 10 elections and the conviction of public enemies during his term.

Purisima, meanwhile, revealed two programs -- the Integrated Transformation Program (ITP) and the Performance Governance System (PGS) -- that will be implemented in his term.

He said the essence of the two programs relies on what policemen should do and how they are going to do police matters.

He pledged loyalty, to support the current leadership, follow traffic rules, and be a good example.
