MANILA -- Four more congressmen were chosen during Wednesday's session to fill up House committee chairmanship posts, among them were Representative Ramon Durano VI (fifth district, Cebu) who will head the Committee on Economic Affairs.

Durano previously chaired the same committee last 14th Congress.

The economic affairs committee will handle matters relating to economic development planning and programs inclusive of economic and socio-economic studies and development policies and strategies.

Also appointed were Representatives Andres Salvacion Jr. (third district, Leyte) on Committee on Civil Service and Professional Regulation, Jerry Trenas (lone district, Iloilo City) on Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability and Alfredo Maranon III (second district, Negros Occidental) on Committee on Health.
