Plane passengers warned of fare hike (7:28 a.m.)

ASIDE from problems on flights cancellation, travel and tours agencies warned airline passengers of possible fare hike due to Philippine Airline (PAL) woes.

In a Bombo Radyo report, Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) vice president John Paul Cabalza said that there is a possibility that some airline companies will take advantage on PAL's situation by increasing fares.

Cabalza also said that most of its member agencies have tie-up with PAL and with that, all reservations and itinerary will be affected if PAL cancels flights.

He also admitted that the cancellation of flights in the company affected its sector. (Sunnex)
