15th Milo Olympics kicks off today

MORE than 5,000 athletes will be trooping the Cebu City Sports Center today for the 15th Milo Little Olympics kick off at 1 p.m.

Two hundred seven schools from the Visayas has come to compete for the top prizes and earn a slot for the second edition of the National Milo little Olympic finals on Oct. 15-17 in Cagayan de Oro City.

Visayas is the defending champion in the national finals, which was held in Cebu last year.

The opening ceremony will start with a parade of athletes from the Abellana National School to the Cebu City Sports Center.

The opening remarks will be given by Milo sports executive Pat Goc-ong, while Department of Education Regional Director Dr. Recaredo Borgonia and Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama will also give speeches.

After the speeches, there will also be the contest for the Miss Milo Little Olympics and cheer dance.
