Sexy ads ni Cristine gi-initan, gipull-out!

DUHA ka beer advertisements sa sexy actress nga si Cristine Reyes ang giinitan sa Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) tungod sa pag-portray sa babaye "in a derogatory manner."

Partikular nga gipunting sa grupo ang ad ni Cristine nga may usa ka lalaki nga naggunit sa iyang bikini top nga sumala pa "insinuates sexual interest and depicts Reyes as a sex object."

Kini gitangtang na sa local television channels last June 22.

"PCW remains steadfast in its position to oppose any efforts of commodifying women and perpetuating sex stereotyping," say ni PCW executive director Emmeline Verzosa.

Pahayag sa PCW nga di na nila pasayluon ang mga commercials sa Colt 45 nga sumala pa "promote stereotypes of what a real man should and should not do."

Samtang sa opisyal nga pahayag sa Asia Brewery giklaro niya nga wala sila maglantaw sa tv advertisment nga "derogatory portrayal of women as a commodity or prize."

"(The date concept with Reyes) is rather common and a highly accepted experience most people would aspire," ni Asia Brewery Inc. senior brand manager Joseph Ryan Consul.

"(Asia Brewery) will ensure to uphold equality in sexes, and uplift the image of women (in all of its communication drives)," dugang niya.

Ang Section 16 sa Republic Act 9710 o ang Magna Carta of Women nagkanayon nga: "the State shall endeavor to raise the consciousness of the general public in recognizing the dignity of women and the role and contribution of women in the family, community and society through the strategic use of mass media."
