NATIONAL Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) is scheduling a power interruption of its Lugait-Carmen 69-kilovolt transmission line from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, August 8.
Elizabeth Ladaga, NGCP corporate communications officer, said the power interruption is necessary to facilitate the emergency repair of five structures along the corporation's transmission line at Barangay Pagawan in Manticao and Barangay Macabagta in Naawan town, Misamis Oriental.
Ladaga said the structures were affected by heavy rains last week.
The affected areas of the power interruption are the service areas of Misamis Oriental Electric Service Cooperative 1 from Lugait to Opol towns, and Cagayan Electric Power and Light Company metering 1, which included the barangays of Patag and Carmen.
