Deca Wakeboard promo rates for Kadayawan

IN CELEBRATION of the Kadayawan sa Davao Festival, organizers of the first-ever Kadayawan Festival Cup (KFC) Wakeboarding Competition set on August 20 bared that Deca Wakeboard Park (DWP) just started its promo rates of P500 and P300 for a whole day and half-day pass, respectively.

Regular rates were P1,000 for a whole day pass and P700 for half-day.

New DWP manager JJ Atencio, also the 8990 Housing Development Corporation Inc. president, said free use of safety gears is already inclusive of the promo rates. Deca homeowners, however, can avail of the facility for only P250.

"These promo rates are for everybody to experience and enjoy the sport of wakeboarding. This is our way of giving back to Dabawenyos who have patronized our housing projects," Atencio said.

He said these new rates will also give wakeboarding competition participants more opportunity to prepare for the big event.

DWP sales and marketing assistant Jason Poblete, meanwhile, said the KFC stakes a total cash prize of P60,000 with freebies.

"The one-day competition will feature the men's and women's open wakeboard, open wakeskate and juniors boys and girls below 16 categories," Poblete said.

He also said international-caliber riders from Manila will come as guest judges for the competition.

He added a best photo contest will be a side event of the meet that expects to attract some 60 participants all from Davao City.
