BOXER Marco “Singwangcha” Demicillo kept his clean record as he stopped upstart Joash Aparecio last Saturday at the Bonifacio Bacaltos Sports and Cultural Centrum in Sibonga, Cebu.
Demicillo stopped Apericio 35 seconds into the ninth round with a left hook to improve to 5-0-1 with four knockouts while Aparicio fell to 0-2.
Unbeaten Alvin Maquiling (3-0, 1 KO) also kept his unbeaten record with a unanimous decision win over Jestoni Pepito (5-3, 1 KO). All the judges scored the bout 96-94 in favor of Maquiling.
In a battle of veterans, Marvin Tampus (19-12-2, 14 KOs) stopped Aljun Salugaol (9-16-2, 5 KOs) with a body shot in the first round.
