FAMILY problems apparently caused two family men in Misamis Orientel to snap in separate incidents.
Federico Z. Hernales, 49, of Lagonglong town and Librano Satulombon, 52, of Balingasag municipality, tied to commit suicide by drinking poisonous substances in separate occasions over the weekend.
Hernales downed a bottle of Malathione while Satulombon drank Lanate, both are poisonous insecticides.
Hernales was immediately rushed to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) after his mother found him sprawled unconscious inside his room last Saturday night.
Cristeta Hernales told Sun.Star SuperBalita said her son was in drunken state when he got home prior to the incident. She suspects that Federico's separation from his live-in partner whom he sired a child was the cause of the suicide attempt.
