MANILA (Updated 2:08 p.m.) -- President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III on Monday finally issued Executive Order 4, officially creating Presidential Communications Group.

Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said the President is currently meeting the members of communications group -- Herminio Sonny Coloma and Ricky Carandang.

Coloma heads the communications group operations, while Carandang leads the communications group development and strategic planning.

The President would want to stress out what should be the priorities and responsibilities of the communications group, said Lacierda.

Coloma will also handle the operation of government-controlled radio and television networks such as NBN-4, IBC- 13, RPN-9, Radyo ng Bayan and Philippine Information Agency, among others.

Carandang, meanwhile, will oversee the feedback mechanism of government where the public could convey their messages, tips and suggestions directly to the President.

This will be done through social networking sites, text messages, mail, and hotlines. (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
