NCCC hosts week-long Kadayawan trade fair

THE Kadayawan Trade Fair will be opened to the public starting August 16 at Parking C of NCCC Mall of Davao.

The fair is a satellite exhibit of the Mag-Negosyo Ta Day program at the City Council lobby where program beneficiaries of City Mayor Sara Duterte, from various women's groups and grassroots small entrepreneurs, display their products, crafts and crops utilizing principles of fair trade.

The event aims to encourage micro-entrepreneurs from barangays and to help them gain confidence with the products they manufacture and sell. The Kadayawan Trade Fair ends on August 23, 2010.

The week-long exhibit will also feature Panagtagbo performances from the 10 indigenous groups of Davao City a way of sharing their cultural heritage to mall shoppers. The mall is the alternate venue of the event which will also be staged at Peoples Park.

The Panagtagbo at NCCC Mall schedule is as follows: August 16 (Monday) - 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. -- Klata/4:30 to 6 p.m. -- Maguindanao; August 17 (Tuesday) - 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Kalagan/4:30 to 6 p.m. -- Ata; August 18 (Wednesday) - 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Maranao/4:30 to 6 p.m. -- Tagabawa-Manobo; August 19 (Thursday) -- 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. -- Tausug/4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. -- Uvu-Manuvu; August 21 (Saturday) - 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. -- Sama/4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Matigsalog.
