AFTER the announcement they made on Sunday's episode of "Party Pilipinas", singer/song writer Ogie Alcasid and Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez give little details on their upcoming wedding.
Regine shared that Ogie proposed to her for quite some time now but they decided to postpone the announcement because of Ogie's impending annulment.
The Songbird was proud to show off a diamond engagement ring given to her by Ogie. According to Regine, the ring came from Ogie's mom.
The two are currently on the planning stage of their wedding.
Ogie said he was able to talk to a few names who will be their principal sponsors on their wedding.
Among the names he shared are TV5 top honcho Manny Pangilinan, GMA-7 Chairman and President lawyer Felipe Gozon, GMA Executive Wilma Galvante, Belo Medical Group owner Dra. Vicky Belo, Mega Star Sharon Cuneta, and Cebuano power couple Michel and Amparito Lhuillier.
Ogie added that they will not be getting President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III as their "ninong" but will be his groom's man.
The two also revealed that Ogie's ex-wife Michelle Van Eimeren will be helping out with flower arrangement for the wedding.
Michelle, who owns a business in Australia, is working as a wedding coordinator and is a good florist, said Regine.
The Songbird added that she will be doing all her pending projects this year because after the wedding she will concentrate on being a wife.
But Regine clears that she will not quit showbiz but instead focus more on building a family with Ogie.
"Tinodo ko na para next year magpapahinga na ako, pero I will not be leaving the business because he doesn't want me too," she said.
