AFTER years of waiting, Kapuso singer, host and actor Ogie Alcasid announced that he is set to marry his girlfriend, Asia’s Song Bird Regine Velasquez, this year. He made the dramatic announcement on Sunday during GMA-7’s noontime show Party Pilipinas.
The development came after his annulment with then wife Michelle Van Eimeren was finally granted last June 21.
“I’m very happy and I’m happy for you my sweetheart. I love you, hon. I promise to you that you will be the happiest woman on earth,” he told Regine.
Ogie thanked the Regine’s parents, their friends and all those who waited for this wedding to happen.
The singer then serenaded his lady love with Ikaw Ang Aking Pangarap, citing that she was the inspiration in all his songs.
Regine responded to Ogie’s announcement through the song Flaws And All. Ogie became emotional upon hearing the words “I don’t know why you love me, and that’s why I love you.”
