Busy day for acting guv

LINGAYEN – It will be a busy day for acting Governor Jose Ferdinand Calimlim Jr. today, Friday.

At 8:30 a.m., participants of the 3rd leg of Petron Ladies’ Beach Volleyball Tournament, together with Congressman Leopoldo Bataoil, will pay a courtesy call the governor.

Bataoil has been hosting the event since he was still the head of the PNP Directorate for Integrated Police Operations-Northern Luzon.

As in the past, the two-day (August 13 and 14) sports activity will be held at the beach front of Purok Marcela Resort owned by the Bataoils in Barangay Libsong here.

Bataoil has said this is in line with youth sports development program intertwined with the anti-crime and environmental campaigns of the Philippine National Police and the provincial government, to include tourism promotion in the area.

At about 9:30 a.m., he will assist Senator Miguel Zubiri in the distribution of Special Allotment Release Orders for projects in several towns in the province of Pangasinan .

This will be held at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan session hall at the Provincial Capitol building.

Governor Amado Espino Jr. is currently in South Korea together with some personnel attending a five-day training concerning the operation of a Rice Processing Complex (RPC).

The South Korean government funded the construction of the modern integrated Rice Processing Complex being built at the provincial nursery in Sta. Barbara town. (LCMY/Sunnex)
