MANILA -- Malacanang will observe the decision of the Supreme Court issuing a temporary restraining order against the imposition of value-added tax (VAT) on tollways.
“We will respect and observe the interlocutory order of the Supreme Court," Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said.
The High Court on Friday stopped the implementation of adjustment on toll fees, which is set to reflect on August 16.
Lacierda said the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) is prepared to discuss and argue the merits of the case before the Supreme Court. (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
