MANILA -- Private meetings and document reviews were keeping the President from fulfilling his promise of holding a weekly press briefing with Palace reporters.
Since he assumed office last June 30, Aquino was only able to hold two formal press conferences in Malacañang.
Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said the President was just too busy with his official duties.
According to the President’s schedule, Aquino has several private meetings in Malacañang recently.
Lacierda earlier said that during private meetings, the President is either discussing confidential matters or reviewing important documents. (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
