LAST week Annie Yap, mother of cager James Yap, broke her silence on the relationship, wedding, and separation of her son to Kris Aquino.
In an interview, Mrs. Yap shared how she felt when her son told her about his relationship with Kris.
"Sa totoo lang... ayoko. Kasi alam mo naman si Kris iba naman talaga, eh. Mahirap lang kami, sila mayaman. Parang tutol ako ba," she said.
One week after Mrs. Yap's interview aired in "Showbiz Central," Kris fires back on her former mother-in-law.
Kris said her sisters have watched the said interview.
"Siyempre masakit. Lahat ng kapamilya, lahat ng kapatid ko, walang masama ever na sinabi tungkol kay James. Siyempre, tao lang naman ako. Kung maririnig ko na never kang nagustuhan, siyempre masakit naman yun," she said.
Kris was reminded by her sister Ballsy to just understand the situation of Mrs. Yap because she's the mother of James.
"Iniisip ko na lang dahil sinabi din ni Ate (Ballsy) sa akin na, Krissy kung si Bimbi, kung makikihiwalay, siyempre iyan din ang magiging reaksiyon mo. Gagawin mo ang lahat to protect your son. Walang right, walang wrong. Ang tama lang ang anak mo, yong mahal mo."
Kris promised to keep mum on the issue but swear not to tell any bad words about James because he's still her son's father.
When asked to give a message to Mrs. Yap, Kris only hopes that this move from the opposing camp would not cause any harm on Baby James.
"Mapapanood po yun ng apo ninyo at some point in time kasi nasa Internet naman. Nanay po niya ako at kahit anong gawin ninyo, lumabas siya sa sinapupunan ko. Ako po ang magpapalaki, ako po ang magsusumikap para maitaguyod si Baby James. Masakit po para sa akin na yung apo po ninyo ay sisiraan ang nanay niya sa kanya. Kasi magkahiwalay po man kami, kadugo ninyo pa din ang anak ko," she said. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
