ROY Leonor and Cynthia Jaro shared top honors at the close of the 12th Jollibee Family Fun Run held in an out-and-back course at the NCCC Mall car park.
Leonor clocked a total of 16 minutes and 25 seconds to beat Michael Constantino, whose time of 16:40 was good for second place. Daniel Diego finished third with a time of 16:45.
Jaro ruled the women's event over sister Criselyn and Netchelyn Penerio, who settled for the next two spots.
Bruce and Nathaniel Van Zente sped past rivals Jay and Katie Cabigon and Percival and Percy Dave Arfapo in the 3K family kargaton category. The Zentes combined for 19:28 record while the Cabigons registered 24:08, and the Arfapos had 30:15.
Reynaldo and K Eicher Abrigon, meanwhile, topped the father and child category with a time of 13:53 while Roberto and Roy Cain placed second with their 14:01 and Eugenio and Joselyn Guanzon came in third with her 15:54.
In the mother and child event, Jenny and Paolo Espinosa (24:21), Nellie and Karl Bryan Tan (25:01) and Honey and Patricia Sai (25:28) finished in the first three spots.
Fitness buffs Jimmy and Vicky Javier stamped their rivals for the husband-and-wife. The pairs of Alfonso and Maria Perlita Common and Don and Anne Espiritu finished second and third, respectively.
The family fun run was organized as part of the Kadayawan sa Dabaw official list of events. (MLSA)
