Sky dumps Tea House in Baguio open

THANKS to its three-point shooting, Sky Cable eked out a 103–88 victory against Tea House in bracket B of the ongoing Baguio Day Cup Basketball Tournament held at Easter College Gymnasium Friday evening.

Newly acquired Armand Pasion led the onslaught for the cable providers firing 16 points to earn their first victory after two straight setbacks.

Waxing hot from the three point territory early in the ball game, Sky Cable took the upper hand at the close of the first period with a 23–21 advantage.

Sky Cable managed to thwart every comeback by the restaurateurs in the second quarter as Tea House, led by Jeff Macadaeg and Paul Catbagan managed to stay close within the ball game.

Leo Abaya and Jay Dumpit kept Tea House at bay with their three point sniping skills as Sky Cable continued to enjoy the lead at half time, 47-43.

The cable providers then broke loose in the third period and took a commanding 78–62 right before the start of the final canto.

Tea House tried to play catch up in the pay-off canto but failed to regain their composure and suffer their first defeat after three starts.

Francis Aviles and Dumpit chipped in 11 and 10 points each for Sky Cable while Macadaeg led Tea House with 13 points with Sangyen Campos adding 11 points. (Faisa Mariano)
