USC North, South share lead in SBP

THE University of San Carlos (USC) North and South Campuses streaked to their second straight wins to share the lead in Milo Best SBP/Passerelle Twin Tournament.

USC North routed University of San Jose Recoletos (USJR), 61-17, then upended Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC), 39-36, for a 2-0 record.

USC South, which scored its first victory last week, defeated Don Bosco, 73-55, for its second straight win.

SHS-AdC and Don Bosco split their games over the weekend, with the Magis Eagles crushing Cebu Eastern College (CEC), 40-25, before bowing to USC North.

Don Bosco overcame a tough University of the Visayas (UV), 45-33, for its first win, while CEC recovered from its loss to SHS-AdC by beating USJR, 41-20.

In the other SBP games, USC North-B scored a 31-18 win over USC South-B in the special pocket SBP B-League. (PR)
