TWO men were arrested by operatives of Police Station 1 Sunday night for allegedly possessing loose firearms.

Police Station 1 head Chief Inspector Luisito Acebuche identified the suspects as Paul Garrido, alias "Agi," 25, of Purok Mambulok, Barangay 10; and John Itang, 18, of Purok Jalandoni, Barangay 8, Bacolod City.

Garrido was arrested by the team of Police Officer 2 Joshua Barile at the city's downtown area for allegedly creating alarm and scandal around 9 pm.

Barile and his companions seized a 12-guage homemade shot gun or sulpak with ammunition from the suspect.

After Garrido's arrest, Barile and his team also arrested Itang at the junction of Rizal and Locsin Streets in Bacolod City around 11 p.m. also for illegal possession of a 12-guage homemade shotgun or sulpak with ammunition.

Acebuche said the two are also believed to be involved in robbery and hold-up incidents in PS1's area of responsibility.

The suspects are now detained at PS1's lock-up cell. (MAP)
