REIGNING Sun.Star Davao Superbalita champion Christopher Alanunay of edged fellow Dabawenyo Menlee Migellano, 6-5, in the second round of the Davao Billiard Association, Inc. (DBAI) Kadayawan sa Dabaw 2010 9-Ball Billiards Tournament at the NCCC Mall B3 Lanes as of Tuesda.
Other Davao City bets Darell Cubillan, Lloyd Menchavez and Rutchel Padal also demolished their foes.
Cubillan subdued Rodney Rubio, 6-3, while Menchavez hacked out a similar 6-3 win over Umbran Uko Jr. of Cotabato City, 6-3. Padal defeated another Davao City player Darwin Cero and Silverio Tolabing downed Russel Cubillan, 6-2.
Cotabato City's Jimmy Shaik, meanwhile, advanced to the next round after whipping hometown bet Roberto Cruz, 6-2.
Tagum's Elmer Saludo overcame Davao's Benedick Ong, 6-3, while Cebu City's Roberto Ancheta defeated Davao Oriental's Ofelio Diabakid, 6-4.
Players from Iligan, Agusan and Digos are also entered in the three-day cuefest that stakes cash prizes to the winners. (MLSA)
