Subic council presents development plan

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Subic-Clark Alliance Development Council (SCADC) chairman Nestor Mangio presented a development plan for the second district of Pampanga in a recent meeting with Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and local officials Monday.

Mangio said the presentation was conducted upon the request of Arroyo to identify areas in her district which are viable for investment.

Mangio said that as of now, several investors have already signified their interests to put up businesses in the area. Some of them are even running big businesses in the country, he added.

Identified were five kilometers from the east and west have been identified as the possible location and “corridor” for investment. About 98 hectares are available to accommodate the business expansion requirement of every potential investor, he said.

He also said investments in vital infrastructure projects such as the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway and the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport have created continuous movement of goods and people to and from Subic and Clark.
