Calltek steals daylight from Western Wats

CALLTEK got even better at the end of the elimination round of the 2010 Inter-BPO Basketball Games following an 82-48 mastery over Western Wats at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym last Sunday.

Five Calltek players scored in double figures led by Christian Judilla who scored the game high 20 points.

Western Wats was blazing hot in the opening period, erecting a commanding 21-15 lead with Wendell Inot leading the charge.

However, things went bad for Western Wats in the next 10 minutes as they struggled to score a basket behind the solid defensive stance of Calltek.

It was a lopsided second quarter that saw Calltek scoring 21 against five.

After the 36-26 lead in the half, Calltek continued to play well as they outscored Western Wats, 46-22, to score their third straight win and its fourth overall.

Mark Louise Gellez added 17, Jan Pierre Gellez finished with 15, Ronaldo Junio contributed 12 and Jerome Martinez scored 10 for Calltek, while Inot scored 13 and Dennis Noel Poquita finished with 10 for Western Wats.

Stream Global Services, meanwhile, went into a roller coaster ride before subduing the hard-fighting Aegis People Support with a 69-66 win.

Roderick Mangubat scored 20 points, Benjie Mancao finished with 16 and Dino Flores added 12. Jomie Mendez scored the game high 32 points, and Clifford Amarado and Mariel Vincent Barrera contributed 14 and 12 points respectively.
